UNBETTING
In the last 5 years we started seeing a lot more of ads about betting and gambling around us. These brands are attacking their potential customers everywhere - in digital, in outdoor advertising, in TV, they exist everywhere. It’s easy to notice that they are spending a lot of money to be present in today’s ad world (that’s why the percentage of addicts has increased so much), but the biggest problem is that there isn’t an “antidote” to this modern disease. We could easily name 10 or 20 companies operating in the gambling industry, but can we name one that is against that? Or just one that helps people to not bet? A foundation, an organisation that provides resources and information on this topic, so you could not end up on the street after a year? The sad answer is “no”. There isn’t an organisation or foundation from this field, that easily helps these addicted people and that could speak in their own language, so they could understand better and take actions.
